E & B Motors started with the idea of two hard working friends that were always interested in the auto repair field. Everything started about almost 20 years ago, when Edgar had decided to move to the USA looking for better opportunities, when Edgar came he did work in many different places until he really found his passion. Everything started at the age of 18 years old, where Edgar had to work in the agricultural field for a couple of months, then he had the opportunity to work in Taco Bell. Edgar did work in Taco Bell for almost about 5 years, while working in Taco Bell he had the opportunity to work as an Auto Detailer, but unfortunately he didn´t have a good luck with the boss. Edgar had to face racism and discrimination in the auto detail workplace until he decided to leave it. Edgar at this time had zero English knowledge, which finding a good job was very difficult just because of the English. At that time Edgar was still working in Taco Bell.
After working as an auto detailer, Edgar had found his passion working with cars and had decided to find different opportunities. He started knocking doors at Ford Dealership and Subaru Dealership , unfortunately the Ford Dealership had already hired someone for the auto detail job, but Subaru Dealership did give him the opportunity to start working with them. Edgar had the position of auto detail for almost about two years, where he did work Monday through Friday and was still keeping his Taco Bell job but now as a part time for Saturdays and Sundays.
At the age of 23 years old, Subaru did offer Edgar the opportunity to work in the Oil Change shop. Edgar was kinda afraid thinking that he was needing some English knowledge to get that job, but it seemed there was no impediment for him. Six months later, Subaru did also offer him the opportunity to work as a used car inspectioner, but about that time he was needing to learn English as Subaru requested him when they did offer him that last opportunity. Edgar went back to School and had learned English. After that the Subaru manager told Edgar that now he needed to earn some certificates that Subaru did require such as engine certificate, transmission certificate, A/C certificate and much more.
After 17 years of working with the Subaru Dealership, Edgar found the need that he needed to get something extra and that´s when he did decide to buy and sale used cars and that´s when he met Miguel which is now his partner at E&B Motors. Miguel had his own automotive shop where Miguel offered Edgar a place to inspect the cars that Edgar bought and sold as well. Edgar and Miguel worked independently until one day Edgar had the idea to join with Miguel and work together but now in the auto repair field and they did name their business as E & B Motors LLC.
Before Edgar and Miguel had joined the partnership, E& B Motors was known as M & B for 18 years, M & B was located by 214 and Stark in Gresham. Now that Edgar and Miguel are partners they had created E & B Motors LLC located 335 NE 8th st Gresham, OR 97030.
